The Dunedin Budget Advisory Service operates a free & confidential budgeting/financial capability service.

Providing information, education, support and options to all people within the greater Ōtepoti area, seeking to empower them to manage their own finances.

Our Team

We are a team of trained financial mentors and are proud to have assisted so many in the greater Dunedin community.

We are supported by FinCap - a non-government organisation which supports 200 free financial mentoring services in their mahi. We advocate for change in the building financial capability sector to help prevent people from getting into financial hardship in Aotearoa.

We Can Help You

The Dunedin Budget Advisory Service assists all Dunedin whanau/individuals to build their financial capability and resilience.

Our clients draw income from a number of sources, whether it's salary/wage, Work and Income, Student Allowance or otherwise, our free confidential service can help you manage your household income and expenditure.

Where we’re at and what we’re doing to reduce emissions

We’ve measured our carbon footprint for the year — 1.49 tonnes.

Most of it comes from staff travel, commuting, and the services we use. This report shows where our emissions come from and what we’re doing to reduce them. Practical, achievable steps to lower our impact.
